Subject: Folklore: Talented pal on tour - in the old style
Here's a cut-n-paste from a note rteceived from a music pal her in Tallahassee who is heading west & north west "on the road." Carrie Hamby is her name. She plays with several different entities locally, on a number of different instruments. Her "base" group is called "Singing Biscuits," so, not surprisingly, she's dubbed her jaunt as The Lone Biscuit Tour." You can find more details at her website [ singingbiscuit.com ]. If she comes your way, I think you'd very likely enjoy her show. And, if you're along her path, she might even have some open dates.

* Starting on May 24, I head out for a long solo trek across the United States for my 2nd-ever Lone Biscuit tour. That night I'll be playing at New Orleans' prime folk joint, the Neutral Ground, with Kerry Grombacher. From there I head west through Lafayette and Houston to settle in at the Kerrville Folk Music Festival for several days. After that, it's days of driving and nights of singing throughout New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho and Washington State. I'll be playing several gigs in Seattle to finish up my tour. So ... no Biscuit action during the early part of the summer, but stay tuned - and check my website for a complete itinerary and future events in the local area.
