Funny! I always thought Johnnys plows the feilds of Spain was from the Peninsular Wars, then found it was a Spannish Civil War Song, now the opposite is true. I came to know the Lincs in New York, over a decade ago, when I was in my late twenties, maybe early thirties. I was taking them some documents for the Peace Convoys to Nicargua. One of the guys asked about my political background, and I produced my IWW Union card. The old fellow called all the brigade members in the office over, and showed them my Union card, the youngest was probubly about seventy, and one said, Shit! A Wobblie! And we though we were old guys! A few weeks ago, I was driving Jock, somewhere or other and sang Jamie Foyers for him. He laughed and said, you have to sing some of the songs we sang over there as well... When this Bloody War is over... and The workers flag is growing pink, its no as red as you may think!

No Passaran Susanne! Salud! Larry
