Can the title of this B/S thread be changed back to its original one?

I have not read the report of the dig - only the inference that as 'bunny' remains were found with evidence that could date it. This find does not mean or prove that the Romans introduced - (what Portlanders here refer to as 'underground mutton' - into the wild.

Although this most probably was the case - all a single find like this proves is that this particular 'Long Ears' left some of their bones in Roman Briton. This 'Wilfred' may have been brought over and kept as a pet.

Imigration controls were not then the same as they are now - but I am sure that the Romans would have given us Customs Officers.
