My friend Maureen who grew up in Lochan Beag, Co. Galway sings GALWAY BAY to the SKIBEREEN melody. We have many discussions about the correct melodies of songs. It is interesting to note that even Joe Heaney sang RÓISÍN DUBH to the connemara air and the version made popular by Seán Ó Riada in Éire Amach.
