Not too long ago I took a pair of pants out of the dryer, and found my wallet still in the pocket. Fortunately, most of the cards were plastic and survived intact--can even still be scanned in ATMs and other machines. The money was nicely laundered and still worked fine. And I needed to update the photo of my daughter anyway. I did get a new wallet, though.
