I do understand what you mean Leadfingers (and I'm remembering you're a piper too)and yes, the Peatbog Faeries are loud and amplified, and the lad (can't remember his name) plays Highland pipes, but it sounds wonderful.

I wouldn't say you could have had a conversation over the top of them, but that wasn't the intention. They do dance music really, they're from Skye and they have pipes (Highland) & whistles, fiddles, guitar, bass, keyboards & drums.

I don't dance All night long anymore, but I'm happy enough listening to them too. And I'm a grown woman, no some wee lassie! They're not to everyones taste, but they're good lads and I enjoy their music.

The pipes are at their finest outside, I won't disagree with you there but you don't need to be battling for them to raise your spirits do you?
