I received the following info by e-mail. The commemoration/fundraiser is mostly film and pictures/photography, but does include some singing and poetry. I live much to far away to attend, but I'd like to pass on the information to those of you who can get to the events

TRIBECA'S VIETCAFÉ AND GALLERY VIET NAM MARK THE 30th ANNIVERSARY OF THE END OF THE VIETNAM WAR
A tribute for turning the era of grief into the powerful action of peace.
Viêt Nam has a special place in the hearts and minds of many of us in Tribeca. Concurrent with the Tribeca Film Festival, this anniversary extends an opportunity to reflect on the significance of war and to pay homage to those who died for its cause.
Gallery Viet Nam and VietCafé invite you to join a weekend commemorating to acknowledge a new era of Vietnamese-American friendship.
FRIDAY, APRIL 29th, 6 pm: Opening of Photography Exhibition featuring Deborah Harse, Peter Steinhauer, Tiana . 7 pm: Poetry Singing by Dr Ngô Thanh Nhàn, John Balaban
SATURDAY, APRIL 30th, 10 am: Vietnamese quay at Tribeca Family Festival Street Fair 3 pm: Screening of "Hearts and Minds" by Peter Davis 5 pm Screening of "Weapons of Mass Deception "(WMD) with filmmaker Danny Schechter and "Déjà vu Vietnam" by Tiana Followed by a panel discussion. 7 pm Vietnamese Hoà-Bình Peace Banquet prepared by VietCafé owner and Chef Lan Trân Cao, $40 per person
