On the networks, they have the habit of replacing "offensive" wording with whatever they can think up...such as ; "Son of a buck" for "son of a bitch".

The epitome of the stupidity of this took place when "The Big Lebowski" was aired. John Goodman is beating the hell out of a car, shouting to the kid in the house, "This is what happens when you fuck a stranger in the ass!" The networks made it, "This is what happens when you find a stranger in the street!"
