I have just answered this question in the Cyril Tawney/Bob Dylan thread, so here it is again:

Kevin Sheils on 29 April 2004 in the Cyril Tawney/Bob Dylan page gave the details. From my Bob Dylan fan contacts, I had this, "it`s part of the columbia studio sessions Aug/Oct 1963, played on piano". Cyril himself refers to Dylan recording the song on the notes to Navy Cuts CD.
The Guardian heavily edited the obituary I'm afraid.
