More q's about camping - can anyone give some facts from experience please? Sorry to keep raising this again but I need to get somewhere booked and I'm so confused.

I've worked out there are 2 campsites at the top of the hill - Salcombe Regis 'proper' site (they sent me a brochure) and 'Part Thorn' which is on the golf course and a temp site for the festival though it has a permanent toilet/shower block. Am I ok so far?

I also have gathered that the venue (marquee?) for the LNE is also at the top of this hill. How close is it to either of the sites and is it loud enough to stop you from sleeping? A weekend of no sleep I can just about put up with but not a whole week.

Second, which one is more likely to have a decent space for my tent when I turn up on the Monday? (having booked obviously).
Does the 'proper' site have laid out spaces for tents or does it squeeze in as many as it can?
I have asked them these questions but they don't seem to be very communicative.

Anybody stayed at Kings Down Tail? Is it walkable? quiet? crowded?

Lastly (if you have not all fallen asleep by now) can anybody tell me about the other site which takes tents, Core Hill i.e. exactly where is it?
