It certainly is not true. There is no sign of gas anywhere in Spncil Hill and the fair continues ech year.

I passed through SH during the fair this year and, if anything, it is getting bigger and better. A lovely spot, yet there is nothing really special about the place. It is simply rural Ireland at its best.
