What I found out today:

According to research by the Australia Institute, about one in three Sydney fathers in full-time work with children under 15 years spend an average eight hours and 17 minutes a week travelling to work but three hours and 44 minutes with their children.

The average worker in Sydney spends an average of four hours and 43 minutes per week travelling to and from work, when part-timers are included, and five hours and 20 minutes for full-time workers.

If the average Sydney worker was paid for his travel time at his hourly wage rate, he would be $123 a week better off.
