Thread Name: Charity shop bargains (LP's)
Subject: RE: Charity shop bargains (LP's)
I'm VERY envious Wildlone! Here in Oz, I guess we had less of those interesting Folk books sold to start with and the purchasers mostly hang onto them, as being a "Folkie" is often a Lifetime Affliction :~))

I've had a better luck with the LPs, but they're most often just Clancy Bros , Dubliners, Harry Belafonte in the Folk categories - amongst the 3 million Khamal / Accordian Party, Vols 1 to 26 :~((( / Mantovani / Classical / and SO many TERRIBLE records that you really do wonder that so many people paid good money for them in the first place!!!!!!

Prices (in the OpShops) usually range from A50c (rarer) to A$2 (commonly) ...

Markets are often better for choice, but the prices are higher of course. It is quite the thing here to scour the OpShops for collectables, so the pickings aren't as good anymore ...

Cheers! R-J
