Thank y'all. I had achieved some of that info off the web, plus an offer to sell me at a reasonable price ;-) from a used LP connection.

Susan, there was a cute little radio station broadcasting from an island in the middle of a lake (they said) north of Anchorage. I had just moved up there and sublet a cheap generic downtown aparment from an oil worker. There was a cheap christmas tree already in and I spent my time getting to know my new job and coworkers and coming home int he dark and cold and tuning in to KABN radio, which had a wide assortment of DJ's. One of them played two intriguing songs, "Christmas Amoeba" being one of them and for the life of me I can't remember hardly anything about it except it was interesting and seemed to be a long winded kind of holiday come-on to a would-be girlfriend. But I may be way off.

Another charming song I could barely remember was the song "Cropduster '49" sung by a guy who is spraying grape fields and as he flies he muses over whether an errant flick of the stick or throttle might plant him among his charges in which case he hopes they name a vintage after him! Turns out that cute little song was by none other than Tom Russell and I was able to procure that album, just a couple years ago.

In this case I was hoping the wide knowledge of mud'ers might encompass Steve Lyon. It was a longshot, but stranger things have happened.
