There are those who would argue that you can't have a United Ireland until a majority of Unionists agree to it. There is a problem here with terminology and mathematics. Someone who has agreed to a United Ireland has surely ceased to be a Unionist. In other words you will never have a majority of Unionists voting for a United Ireland. In fact, the logic seems to dictate that you can't even have one Unionist voting against the Union. Does that mean then even if there were only a couple of thousand Unionists they would have a veto? Half a dozen? One?
