Thread Name: ADD: 'Hot Vagina' Trad. Bawdy Song
Subject: Lyr Add: pg13 'Hot Vagina' Trad. Bawdy Song
Hello everyone,

If you are easily offended, please STOP READING.   This thread is for mature audiences only.  Please don't post "dreadful song" or "worst song written" as you are not helping.

Below is a traditional bawdy song titled:  "Hot Vagina" (recording)

              1.  Do you sing this song?
              2.  If yes, when and where did you learn it?
              3.  Would you be willing to sing it for folklore purposes over the phone?

Any help is appreciated.

Sincerely,

John Mehlberg

HOT VAGINA
(Tune - "I've Been Working On The Railroad")

Hot vagina for your breakfast,
Hot vagina for your lunch,
Hot vagina for your dinner,
Just munch, munch, munch, munch, munch.
It's so tasty and nutritious,
Bite-size and ready to eat,
Hot vagina for your breakfast
Hot vagina can't be beat.

Notes:   The "Hot Vagina" song started off as a parody of the of the Shredded Ralston Cereal jingle from the Tom Mix radio program.  (See Ed Cray's The Erotic Muse 2nd ed. pg. 290.)   The Cray fails to identify the tune for the jingle which is "When the Bloom is on the Sage".  This song was written by the "Happy Chappies" - Nat Vincent and Fred Howard in 1931.

The oldest recorded version is of Jim Hitchcock by Joe Hickerson in Oct 1962.  Jim recognized this as a parody of the Ralston Purina Song which he sings right after he sings "Hot Vagina".

The text above is transcribed from the singing of "Little Head" and was recorded on 9 Oct 2004.  Ivy T. on 19 Feb 2005 also sang this song to the "I've Been Working On the Railroad" tune.

Online texts universally list the tune for "Hot Vagina" as "The Yellow Rose of Texas" but I have never encountered anyone who sings it to this tune.
