Subject: RE: Bush Band Music On C.D. Interested?
G'day yet again,

Kat: There are no sound bites, but it is nice dance music, good rhythmic stuff and strongly traditional. If Brad is still in there plugging it, after fighting to get his button accordion heard over Peter Ellis's accordion or Anglo concertina, he must be happy with it!

Around these parts I have a reputation for pushing accordions and concertinas hard, but trying to match with Peter would see my bellows off smartly (and keeps Peter's repairers working). Seriously, this is a band that has done a heap of field work with the old dancers, callers and musicians of their region and combined it all with a great love for the traditions, dances and music. the style is very traditional, but the tradition was great.

OTHER PROBLEM:

I posted a few URLs in my previous post, but forgot that putting arrow brackets around them turns them into something else ... which vanishes!

Anyway, when I mentioned the Bush Music Club Site above, it should have had this URL: http://folk.mountaintracks.com.au/bushmusic/ and the Bush Dancing - Wongawilli Style site, which is an alternative site from which to buy a range of Aussie material, should have read: http://wollongong.starway.net.au/~gsmurray.

(I have to learn how to HTML Big Blue Clicky Things!!!)

Regards,

Bob Bolton
