One of my jobs at work is to co-ordinate recycling and we send laser and inkjet printer cartridges and old mobile phones for recycling. The proceeds are donated to the Bristol Childrens' Hospital (Wallace & Gromit Appeal). Helps a worthy cause, saves natural resources and reduces landfill. We also recycle aluminium cans, PET bottles, plastic cups and paper. It's amazing how much 500 people can get through in a week.
