I was in Croatia this past October (as well as Slovenia) and I found it to be one of my very favorite vacation spots ever.   Prices are cheap, accomodation, people, and food all wonderful.   Full of Roman ruins and NO CROWDS!   If anyone would like info I will be delighted to send my info to you. We rented an apartment in Pula and on the property of the owners was a ruined city that predated the ROMAN invasion by 1000 years. There was absolutely no-one there when we visited the city   Outstanding vacation and very easy for AMericans and Canadians and British as English is widely spoken and not enough tourists have been there to ruin their image of Westerners!
