Interesting how two folks can come from the same part of the country and have different thoughts on how obits are handled.

I live in North Central Pennsylvania in a small community. It is not uncommon for a friend or relative to write the obituary that will appear in the local paper. Just a month ago our family lost a wonderful friend to cancer. She wrote her own obituary. I can't imagine doing it, but she did.
