Since God, as a being, must be far beyond human understanding, any statement about God is merely metaphorical. That would apply to God's presumed "gender," "drives," etc.

God's "intelligence," for example, is so far beyond human intelligence as to be only metaphorically related.

Or so it would seem to me.
