Hi Miro,
"The Water Is Wide" lyrics are listed on the Digital Tradition. I found them by searching for the phrase "Water is wide." You can also find them through the keywords "water", "love" and "plant". Marie Teven's response gives the first two and then the fifth verse given by the DT, the latter a bit different –"Oh love be handsome and love be kind
Gay as a jewel when first it is new
But love grows old and waxes cold
And fades away like the morning dew."alarose is pretty much on the mark re: the second verse, although DT's version has the phrase "Thinking it was a trusty tree" rather than "Thinking it was a mighty tree". The DT version has seven verses. Enjoy!
