Brady is more likely to have recorded an Irish or American form. There are three examples in the DT, I think, but only one seems to be from a traditional source. Most of the numerous Forum threads concentrate on the version recorded by the Bothy Band: Triona's tendency to mumble has caused all sorts of difficulties for people who wanted to know exactly what she was singing.
