What I don't appreciate is, frequently on British TV prior to a film or play coming on next, an announcer will give the warning 'this programme contains 'strong language''

For me, all that f-ing & blinding in lieu of appropriate dialogue & vocabulary is NOT strong language- au contraire, its VERY WEAK LANGUAGE!
