We sent out a survey -- 15,000 of 'em -- to the community last August, and one of the questions asked something like "Should the library continue to purchase adult materials on cassette tape, even though CDs...blah, blah?" At least three of the responses took us to task for having "adult materials" in the public library!

Like "mature" the word "adult" has also taken on new meanings.

Makes me wonder about when I was in charge of a library's Adult Services Department....
