The writers of the American constitution were willing and proud to sign their names at the bottom of the document which is more than you'll ever get from the faceless civil servants who drafted the dog's dinner that is the proposed European Constitution. BTW smoking in cafes restaurants etc is now banned in France thank goodness, and has been for quite a while now.
