What an interesting thread this is turning out to be!!
Here's a fragment of one that I recall.

Just an old Clan Line steamer,
That has seen better days
And her engines were a wonder to behold.
But when the angels above,
Give her a shove.
She'll get us to the UK on time.

I was on the "Clan MacGowan" 1967 when I heard that. I don't believe there was any more to it. It stood alone, sung with great wads of homesick sailorly emotion!!
