All the local musicans showed up to see and hear the new kids... Yeah I saw them huddled up together and whisperin' as we started into out set and, yeah, it mighta had me doin' a little thinkin' durin' the first song 'er two but, hey, we got into a nice groove an' as we played more and more folks started to come 'round to give listen an' I got real loose endin' the set, I was playin' Slim Harpo's "King Bee" with me usin' my reso as a percussion instrument with my foot stomp as accompinment and the P-Vine just hangin' on the beat and let "Harp Boy" showed off a bunch o' his stuff an' just let the stomp and guitar purcussion fade and let Harp Boy have the last word... Never done that before but it worked real nice...
Then after a nice round o' applause, one of the local musicans who had been audtionin' us came over, introduced himself and asked us if we would consider comin' back July 4th for their annual July 4th Festival and playin' an hour?!!?!?.....
Well, danged right there, Big Guy....
So Iz passed the big test... July 4th will be like the smoke from the flame from the candle from the icing on the cake compared to today....
