Thread Name: BS: Why Are Threads Gettin' Highjacked???
Subject: RE: BS: Why Are Threads Gettin' Highjacked???
There is a surefire way to handle trolls that works. It is to respond to the logical posts and to ignore the trolls.

It has been proposed many times within threads that start to disintegrate. Time and again there are many participants, including those who take advantage of the ability to post as GUESTs, who do not utilize the effective means of dealiing with trolls but join in the fun. I think it may be a hallmark of human nature, but one would think it can be controlled, wouldn't one?

If the purpose of this thread is to denigrate one particular 'foul' mouthed poster, it in itself is a troll because there is no single poster who is the problem.

I agree that some messages on both sides of the foul-mouthing have been exceptionally weird or vile. Some of them have been from the initiator of this thread, and some have been from the person this initiator is obsessed with.
