Ya know, this might be way off, but I often think about the great big bridge between Halifax and Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. It was paid for years and years ago, but the financing deal with the German company that put up the big bucks means we are still sending them money because of the contracted interest rate.

I figure that the next cheque should include a letter that says, "'Ow's she goin' anyway? Just thought we'd drop you a note to say that we think you've 'ad enough of our money. If you want a cheque next month, come over 'ere an' get it."
