Thread Name: Lyr Req: Hallelujah (Martha Scanlan)
Subject: Lyr Req: Lyrics to a great folk song....
hi everyone who reads this:
I am seeking the identity of song I really like from a mix
cd with no track listing. A female singer. Don't know if
it's trad. or a more recent pluck. Please help if you can!
&Song starts: fourhundred thousand miles broke down truck,
I crawled out of Nashville on a broken down luck.
Fallen to rust....
....(chorus) Hallelujah, baby, hall. she's a rollin
on home...standing all alone. "
then later:
" Tv papers all standing in line to be the first to sell the story of the end of time..."
Thank you, kelly
ps. it's a guitar and fiddle only I think. on the slower side. :)
