When we were small, my uncle, who was English, wouldn't let my cousin and me sing Stanley Holloway's "With Her Head Tucked Underneath Her Arm", as it was recorded. We had to sing: "She walked the bad word Tower". As Canadians we thought that was rather stupid and could not understand the big deal, but I guess it really bothered him to hear two little girls sing the word "Bloody" with such relish and gusto.
