For those of you who are always knocking us humble bodhran players can I recommend that you haste to catch the current Battlefield Band (Down the Silk Road) tour. The Uzbek hand drummer who is travelling with them is totally amazing and must have the strongest wrists of any man alive. In fact the whole Uzbek quartet are consummate musicians and not averse to joining in with a reel or a slow air. The lady dancers are very skillful too
