But the article he pointed out was also an utterly simplistic and one sided report of the situation. The proposed boycott was NOT antisemitic. It was in protest against the oppression of the inhabitants of the occupied territories by the state of Israel.

You do nobody any favours if you automatically assume that all criticism of Zionism indicates a hatred of Jews. Not even to Israelis, who eventually, one way or another, will have to live alongside their neighbours. They can build a fence, but what next? Put a roof on it? Armour plate the underside? For ever and ever?

The USA has an effective boycott (including academic) of Cuba. I don't hear the Burning Bushites complaining about that.
