There have been literally thousands of reasonably well-constructed invented languages published in the last four or five hundred years. Now, Solresol is a language that actually deserves the attention of Mudcatters: a language where linguistic information is conveyed by musical pitch and all words are made up of the syllables of the do-re-mi-fa-sol-la-si scale. It was quite the rage during the mid-19th century, Victor Hugo was big into it.
