Reason most telephone boxes only take phone cards is economic. People don't bother pinching the phones from them 'cos there's no money in there... Used to be a telephone box at the top of my road. Now there isn't. Odd thing is no-one seems to know how long it's been gone. A neighbour was very surprised when I told her it wasn't there.
