Weelittledrummer, your post was perhaps more stupid than you realised. There ARE banks around the world that manage to behave decently. In the UK, for instance, the Cooperative Bank, Unity Trust, Smile, Triodos.... But perhaps you are right that if some banks sink to the gutter, we should just accept that the Vatican be right down there with the worst of them.
