A quick sort on the first 20 threads at the top a bit ago showed 5 of the 20 out of order. Longer (more posts) threads seem most affected.

If you check the list of posts at the top of each thread page, it's pretty easy to spot the "next nearest" when something doesn't make sense. For most 'cat threads, the post order isn't too critical to as much understanding as we're likely to get.

There do seem to be some missing posts, and I don't have much of a way to look at whether there are enough of them to be significant.

And even after sorting, I can't make enough sense of this thread to guess who "deep funk" might have been.
