I don't know how popular songs like these were with the German army when the officers weren't listening. I do know that the British army was far more likely to march along singing 'Do your balls hang high..'. Even 'British grenadiers' would be largely reserved for 'keep it clean lads' occasions.

I really don't see the point of perpetuating Nazi-manufactured tripe like this, it's not a good song, we know that some people thought like that, we know what the results were (2 nil to Britain in that case). It would be far more interesting to know what songs the conscripts sang in Africa, or on the eastern front.
