Sonnet 22/04/05                         CMXCVI

I want to hold my muse within these arms,
And wake to bright, sweet morning. Should I reach
For heart's desire? I wait, for her to teach
What she might wish: Should I fear that hope harms
The chance for love? Or, are my fears alarms,
To warn from seeking to her love beseech?
Would gaining dream the passion from dreams leech,
That I would lose all in winning her charms?
She is true muse: I cannot dream recall
Without thinking of eyes that capture heart.
Should I not hope to her true desires touch?
Might heart find cause that dreams of her are all
That night allows, that thoughts of her will start
Feelings on whirlwind, and hopes are too much?
