Kaleea's post brings an important point to mind. If you wish to roast a bodhran whose skin still has the fur on it, you must first parboil it to loosen the fur and then scrape it off using a spatula. Otherwise the roasting will result in a smell that will not disipate from the cooking area until 2085.
