Hmmm! Checked "Cripple Creek" in Lomax FSNA, not the same as the tunes in Brown.
In addition to Brown, Lomax also credits Sharp II- English Folk Songs of the Southern Appalachians- (not seen) for his version. This seems to be Cripple Creek II (Buck Creek Girls, Somerset) of The Traditional Ballad Index because they reference Sharp with this tune. (The usual Lomax sloppiness?)
