Thread Name: lyr/Chord Add: Redwinged Blackbird (David Francey)
Subject: Chord Add: Redwinged Blackbird
Someone else online asked me to suss this out for 'em (written by David Francey and covered very well by James Keelaghan) so I figured while I had 'em 'out' I'd rub 'em over this place...

I play it in E (Dadgad tuning capo'd 2nd fret)

The chorus is mostly playing the 'lead' line on the "D" and "A" strings

Red-Winged Blackbird

(3)Thought I (2)heard a (1)Red-winged (2)Black(3)bird
Red-winged Blackbird (4)down (5)my (6)road
Thought I heard a Red-winged Blackbird
Red-winged Blackbird (6)down (7)my (3)road

(3)He'll be (8)there (7)beside the (3)river
(3)When winter (8)finally (7)breaks it's (6)bones
(3)He'll be (8)king a(7)mong the (3)rushes
(7)He'll be (3)master (6)of his (3)home

Safe as Moses in the rushes
Makes his home on the river wide
Ever time I hear him singing
Makes me fell like spring inside

He'll be in there singing his heart out
He'll be telling stories too
Of where he went to winter last year
How he's going back there too

Play it often, play it LOUD!
:-)
