I have another nasty bug to add to this thread. The Brown-tail Moth caterpillar. A nasty import from Europe, it has nasty toxic, barbed hairs that cause an excruciating rash. Not content to keep it's nasty hairs to itself, it sheds them and they waft lightly on the breeze, landing on poor innocent park rangers, who then break out in welts to rival blackfly bites. Oh, and said hairs, if inhaled by people with asthma or emphysema, also cause respitory distress. Yay! Let's hear the it for the insect world!!!!
