Thread Name: new harp
Subject: new harp
I just got a new lap harp today. It's a really lovely little 22 string made by Tat Stanley, in Kingston Ontario (Canada). Tat drove it all the way to Toronto for me this morning - this baby had a home delivery!

Normally this model is tuned G to G, but I asked Tat to give me a low F, so with a bit of restringing, I've got myself and F to F harp, and Tat says that he thinks that this particular harp seems to sound even a little bit better in this tuning. Also, just fyi, I always tune my A's, B's, and E's flat, so that I have natural A's, B's and E's with the levers up. This enables me to play easily in a few flat keys.

It's a great sounding, beautiful looking and very portable lap harp. Take a look at Tat's website. Mine is the Beatrice model, in cherry. www.stanleyharp.on.ca
(sorry my "Make a link" didn't work today)
