Subject: Songs in the Railway Snug Lymm
What a great sing around! I guess anybody who sings in the Manchester/Cheshire/Lancashire area will know of and probably have been to the Snug in the Railway at Heatley near Lymm. (Every other Wednsday?)
The Thursday Folk Club in the same pub is very well known and has amazing guest (see other posts and the Lymm Festival). The Singers in the Snug have an amazing collection of mostly traditional songs and the informal atmosphere and the warm welcome make this a great night.
I am dreadful at names (my age) but I think Alan was in the chair and he led a great night with 2 or 3 songs from those present. Great to see Ted Edwards knocking out his own songs and telling wild stories.
If you have never been, give it a go, if you have I guess you will return, I know I will.
