Sonnet 21/05/05                            MII

If I let hopes guide more than dream, what price
Would my heart have to pay? Would you be kind,
And give me chance, that I might try to bind
My needs to your desires? Eyes soul entice
To hold, but should my heart now seek advice
Of what reason allows? I am not blind
To all that stands between the hopes I find
Within, and what must for present suffice.
If I let heart run free, to dreams pursue,
Would I still earn your smile? Can caring win
Your happiness, when heart wants all of you?
Know I'll not feelings hide: My hopes are true,
But do not control all. Would it be sin,
To ask you to some of my dreams renew?
