Dare dream of you future allow, when we
Might gaze at stars? Should I desire a time
That I might watch you sleep? Can dreaming be
Enough, when I know love is not a crime?
Might heart know how much of itself to send,
That you not think me fool? I cannot tell
How to now less than love you: You are friend,
Muse and desire; Are you true love as well?
Will I find reason to reason ignore,
And seek you out, to stare into your eyes?
I fear you might not these sweet dreams restore,
Should I, unwanted, seek to offer ties.
Yet, does it matter if I dream, or not?
Can dream be real, or love ever my lot?
