I wish I had longer to construct some tortuous, witty rebutal to Guest but............. well I am now a Mancunian so what can I say about my home town. The Port, as we call it, was in its '60s hey day known as the Magic City.

At one time had two or three folk clubs. The best was the Pennyfarthing at the Travellers Rest in Little Sutton. many of us sang and Russel led with football, much wit and not a bad voice either.

Lots played including Fiddlestone who still play around the northwest and Brian Lupton who I had heard plays on the Wirral.
