SAMPHIRE! That's what armyrikia is! Just before jetting off to South Africa to give a paper at an international conference, 'Er Indoors spotted it in the Guardian weekend magazine cookery section. Cross-checked in wild flower book. It grows on cliffs and seaside rocks, in UK especially in Wales, & occasionally available in wet fish shops. Not surprisingly NOT in either of my Greek dictionaries!
